It amazes me how hard the men and women of Northern Station work each and everyday to keep the streets safe for everyone. Here are some of the great arrests that were made in the last few weeks.
ARREST: 400 blk of Haight St. Narcotic Arrest–YAY!
NON-ARREST:
Sunday, March 30, 1:30pm, Robbery: Officers responded to the 500 block of Haight Street regarding a robbery. The victim told the officers he was approached by two males who asked him if “he wanted anything” (drugs). The victim told them no and walked away. He was then struck in the back of the head with an unknown object. Both subjects then went through his pockets and took money. The suspects then fled. The victim sustained minor injuries. YOWZER. And I thought Haight was safe from robberty b/c of all the people activity…

Come join BEETS Rangers at Earth Day Saturday April 19th!
Who are BEET RANGERS? BEETS Rangers: the Brigade of Environmentally Educated Teen Rangers (BEET Rangers), a new environmental leadership program targeting under served youth in the Western Addition, offering a stipended opportunity for 15 ethnically diverse 13 to 15 year olds to become stewards of local parks and community leaders who educate and inspire hundreds of other youth and adults. Fostering appreciation and ownership of the urban outdoors through training in gardening and park maintenance, the BEET Rangers project increases the involvement of neighborhood youth in the limited green space available in their inner-city locale.
